The Safe Spaces™ Professional Education Series
Equipping Professionals. Strengthening Communities. Creating Safe Spaces for Survivors.
At The Hiding Place, we believe education is one of the most powerful tools for preventing violence, strengthening community responses, and improving outcomes for survivors.
The Safe Spaces™ Professional Education Series was developed to equip professionals, organizations, and community leaders with practical, trauma-informed knowledge that empowers them to recognize abuse, respond with confidence, and create environments where survivors are believed, supported, and connected to appropriate resources.
Our trainings are survivor-informed, evidence-informed, and designed to be engaging, practical, and immediately applicable across a variety of professional settings.
Whether you are serving survivors in healthcare, education, law enforcement, ministry, business, or social services, our goal is to help you build safer systems, stronger partnerships, and more compassionate communities.
Why Professional Training Matters
Domestic violence impacts every community, every profession, and every workplace.
Survivors often interact with multiple professionals before ever reaching a domestic violence agency. A healthcare provider, teacher, pastor, police officer, employer, counselor, or coworker may be the first person they trust enough to tell.
Knowing how to recognize the signs of abuse and respond appropriately can make all the difference.
Through education, collaboration, and trauma-informed practices, we can create a coordinated community response where survivors experience safety, dignity, and hope from the very first conversation.

Our Training Philosophy
At The Hiding Place, we believe education should do more than increase awareness. It should increase confidence.
Participants leave our trainings with practical knowledge, meaningful resources, and clear next steps they can immediately apply within their own organizations and communities.
Our goal is not simply to teach about domestic violence—it is to equip individuals and organizations to become part of the solution.
